From scratch

I make the molds. That’s where it starts. Not a catalog piece, not something I order and stamp my name on.

Then I cast it in plaster. Investment plaster. The mold holds the shape, the burnout takes the pattern out, and what’s left is a hollow the metal can fill.

Then I cast the silver, or the gold. I pour it. I break the plaster off. I do the finish myself.

I’m trying to make a name for myself. Plata NM is that name. Albuquerque is where the bench is.
